Living in New York City, you become accustomed to seeing photo/commercial/movie shoots quite frequently and although I’m somewhat “used to” seeing production sets, the most recent one was a impressive spectacle! Action packed and super exciting!
Sunday, we woke up to an elaborate film shoot for the Red Bull on the Hudson River! The entire waterway (including the air space) had been cleared for taping and the US Coast Guard provided security for the event. A large barge served as the landing station for the Red Bull Air Force Dive Team jumping from a Cessna 208 aircraft!! Five dive team members exited the aircraft and parachuted directly onto the barge in perfect sequence. I stood alongside several family members of the divers and everyone cheered loudly when each one landed!! It was absolutely one of the most unbelievably thrilling film/photo shoots I observed in the Big Apple!
