Hello Hello! Happy Thankful Thursday to you!
I finally scored tickets to the super popular morning talk show, The View !!! Until recently, the waiting lists for tickets were 12-24 months long! I’m assuming the recent availability of tickets is due to the current co-host changes. Either way, I happily joined a large crowd at 7:15 AM, even though some had arrived as early as 3:30 AM to get their prime spots in line!!
Luckily, the waiting game outside passed quickly thanks to ABC’s free breakfast truck & lots of friendly peeps! Once inside, we were greeted with snacks & drinks before being seated. Since the show is live, the show started promptly at 11:00 AM. Whoppi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd and guest hosts Sunny Hostin (Legal Expert/TV Personality) & S.E. Cupp (Political Commentator/Writer) jumped right into the hot topics of the day (adultery, praying in public and racism). Aren’t these topics to avoid in the workplace? Guess not! Whoa-these gals were feisty! Yelling over one another, giving each other attitude and even Whoopi was bleeped out for swearing! Come on girls! Y’all calm down and get along 🙂
Despite the heated debates during hot topics, the tension quickly melted away when the guest segments began! First up, Tyra Banks (Model/TV host) promoting her 21st season of ‘America’s Next Top Model‘. Tyra chatted about the show’s upcoming season, shared advice on taking the perfect selfie and gave her opinions about the future of beauty! Not only is she beautiful but she is relatable, confident and has such a fun personality!

Next up, Rapper T.I. came out looking quite dapper in his leather-trimmed navy suit and glasses. T.I was promoting his new hit “No Mediocre” and the upcoming season of his reality show ‘T.I. And Tiny: The Family Hustle’. He revealed that he enjoys cooking, he is a strict father about grades & respect and he may consider more acting opportunities in the future.
Sherri Shepherd and Whoppi Goldberg were definitely the most interactive with the audience members. During commercial breaks, Sherri would leave the stage to speak with the audience members and even brought out her son Jeffrey! Whoppi took audience questions during the break and was hilariously, self-deprecating talking about her hair and new glasses!

The final segment of the show was Whoppi’s Favorite Things!! Not to be mistaken for Oprah’s favorite things–“You get a car! And you get a car”!! Whoppi’s “favorite things” seemed like an odd assortment of random items. Grout Gator (grout cleaner), Gleener (sweater fuzz remover), Good Mouth (toothbrush delivery plan), Ever Bamboo Dehumidifier, Beantown Laundry Free Bedding (disposable sheets), Bamboosa (American made baby clothes w/ no dyes or bleach), and Vamplets Vampire toy (vampire kittens). Interesting…Whoppi, these are your favorite things?
Audience members did receive all of Whoopi’s favorite things and it’s always cool to receive free swag!
