Hello Friends! Happy Thankful Thursday to you all!!
My week has been a whirlwind! I’ve been one busy bee!!
One of my big tasks to tackle this week was visiting our Sweet Home Carolina and finalizing several decisions in the last phase of the building process.
The last time I saw our house lot was right before moving to New York. The lot had just been cleared and they were beginning to start the foundation. Of course, I’ve seen pictures along the way but I still didn’t quite know what to expect.
As I drove through the neighborhood, turned down our street and rounded the corner, I spotted our Sweet Home Carolina high upon the hill. Wow. There she was…in real life! Fully erected from blueprints to a tangible brick and mortar structure!
Walking through the rooms built from visions of your imagination is a surreal experience. My little heartstrings were pulled tight walking on the wood floors made from wood off family land. It’s tremendously uncanny having the opportunity to stare down the road not taken…
As I explored the house, I had an overwhelming sense of pride in my builder and every single sub-contractor assigned to our building project. The craftsmanship is impeccable and every detail we envisioned is coming to fruition.
The Sweet Home Carolina pictures below are the current state of the home and I included photos from several rooms. I’ll be sure to add additional photos once the house is complete!
