Hello Honey Bee and Happy Monday to you!
Coney Island located in Brooklyn, New York is a summertime playground filled with historic amusement park rides and a bustling boardwalk along the Atlantic Ocean. Coney Island is also home of the famous Nathan’s Hotdog, the New York Aquarium, and the Brooklyn Cyclones! Plus, Friday nights in the summer they even have fireworks! If you live in the city, you should definitely visit Coney Island at least once!! Keep in mind, this nostalgic landmark is almost one hundred years old and has weathered numerous storms including Hurricane Sandy. Despite it’s rough edges, Coney Island still charms with it’s quintessential old school character. I recommend coming early in the day before the masses arrive to avoid feeling like you are swimming upstream against the current! In the afternoon, the beach transformed into a blanket of rainbow umbrellas, as the crowd swelled to capacity.
Yay! Thankful for another Summer NYC Bucket List item marked off the list 🙂
