Happy New Year Y’all!!
Celebrating the New Year in New York City was simply magical! We attended the New Year’s Eve Ball on the Infinity Yacht for a night of dinner, drinks, dancing and gorgeous Manhattan views from the water! The most memorable part of the night? Ringin’ in 2015, counting down the New Year with a breathtaking firework display at the Statue of Liberty! It was truly an unbelievable night that I’ll never forget!

Hoorah! My Christmas shopping list is getting shorter thanks to all the great shops in NYC! Macy’s at Herald Square is quintessential New York and I love visiting during the holidays. I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for Macy’s after participating in the Macy’s Day Parade years ago! I have so many wonderful Macy’s memories and I still remember getting so excited to pick one special treat from Macy’s!
Macy’s at Herald Square is ‘Americas Largest Department Store’ and you can find something for everyone on your Christmas list! Plus the window displays are outta this world-literally! The 2014 window displays are beautifully decorated for ‘Santa’s Journey to the Stars’!

One of the most beautiful places to Christmas shop in New York is the iconic Grand Central Station! The annual Grand Central Holiday Fair showcases over seventy vendors selling unique and one of a kind gifts. Many of the vendors are truly amazing artisans and I love learning the creative inspirations behind their works of art.
After I browse and shop the Holiday Fair, I always love exploring Grand Central. Around every corner, you’ll find stunning architectural details, interesting historical treasures, and the bustle of NYC commuters.

New York is a magical place, especially during the holidays! The entire city boasts twinkling lights, Christmas wreaths, Christmas trees and a festive holiday spirit!
Christmas season is in full swing and we only have nine more days left for holiday shopping! I’m tackling my shopping list this week by visiting my favorite spots around NYC!
First on my list is Winter Village at Bryant Park, which transforms Bryant Park during the holidays into a magical Christmas wonderland-complete with a ice skating rink, a Christmas market and lots of holiday treats to enjoy!

Start your shopping trip off right with Hot Apple Cider
Ever since visiting Buckingham Palace in London, I’ve been quite intrigued with the Royal family. Fun fact: If the Royal Standard flag is flying at Buckingham Palace, the Queen is in residence. Although the flag was flying during my visit, I never saw anyone from the Royal family in person. I never imagined to see Royalty back in the USA but today was my lucky day!!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are officially here in New York City!! This morning, Prince William and Kate Middleton paid their respects at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Despite the rain downpour and high winds, the couple spent quite awhile at the 9/11 Reflecting Pools. Kate arrived in a beautiful bright pink jacket and the couple quickly waved hello to the crowd before entering the museum.
Journalists and press crew had front row access, while the remaining crowd was limited to partial views of the couple. Luckily, I did manage to snap a few pics! Enjoy!!

Last night, the ladies behind the new film ‘Wild’ attended a lively Q&A session at the Apple Store in SoHo! Leading ladies, Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern, along with the author of Wild, Cheryl Strayed and film producer Bruna Papandrea gathered together to promote the complex story of one woman’s quest to find herself while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail.
The group dynamic seemed incredibly supportive and respectful of one another. You could definitely feel the power of their friendship as well.

Hello Loves! Happy Tuesday to you!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends! We hosted Thanksgiving this year in the Hamptons and had an amazing time celebrating with family! Thanksgiving dinner was delicious (whew!) and the remainder of the weekend we spent playing games, exploring the Hamptons and relaxing by the cozy fire.

Enjoying fall football games is one of autumn’s sweetest treats! Experiencing America’s most beloved sport in the iconic Michie Stadium at West Point is truly a memorable and patriotic event. Michie Stadium even ranked No. 3 on Sports Illustrated list of Top 20 Venues of the 20th Century.
Saturday morning we drove upstate with our NY besties and arrived at West Point just in time to watch the famed Cadet Parade on the Plain! Cadet’s in full-dress marching the field, followed by an incredible parachute demonstration! Next, we strolled through the tailgating lawn at Buffalo Solider Field and we visited the historical Thayer Hotel (gorgeous views of the Hudson River Valley) for brunch before the game.
Game time! Look up! A hovering helicopter, dropped a handful of the Black Knights (West Point Parachute Team) to parachute and land on the field with the official game ball! Wow!
Thankfully, we heard lots of cannon fire from Lusk Reservoir after every Army score! Sweet Sound of Victory! Yay-Black Knights defeated the Fordham Rams!

Sometimes a Southern Belle living in New York City, needs a lil’ southern hospitality to get a taste of home! Thankfully, Justin Timberlake (a fellow Southerner and raised in Memphis, TN) has opened a southern-inspired eatery in Manhattan called Southern Hospitality!
Southern Hospitality opened in 2013 and is located in Hell’s Kitchen off 9th Avenue. Inside, you’ll discover a laid back atmosphere, complete with exposed brick, rustic wood floors, super friendly waitstaff and yummy southern eats! I loved seeing familiar items on their menu-fried tomatoes, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, bourbon pecan pie and southern sweet tea! It’s the little things that make my heart happy 🙂
For lunch, I enjoyed a delicious pulled pork salad and sweet tea! It’s funny how tasting southern tea can remind you of home.
I was pleasantly surprised with the music as well! Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and the Beatles…thank you JT for not playing “Cry me a River” on repeat for your dining fans 🙂 Overall, this is great spot to get your “southern fix” in the city! Short of, “no ma’am” or “oh honey”, it’s one of the closest things to dining like you’re below the Mason-Dixon Line! Enjoy Y’all!
